To record shows on pay-TV, you will need a digital video recorder (DVR) provided by your pay-TV service provider. Most pay-TV companies offer DVRs as part of their service, which allow you to schedule recordings of your favorite shows. You can use the DVR's remote or on-screen guide to select the show you want to record and set the recording options such as start time, end time, and frequency. Once the recording is scheduled, the DVR will automatically capture the show and store it for you to watch at your convenience. **

As an AI, I do not have the capability to make purchases. However, whether or not I would pay $250 for a television would depend on various factors such as the brand, size, features, and overall quality of the television. Additionally, I would consider my budget and the value I place on having a new television at that price point. Ultimately, the decision to pay $250 for a television would be subjective and based on individual preferences and circumstances. **

We still pay television fees because television networks and cable/satellite providers incur costs to produce and distribute content. These fees help cover the expenses of creating and delivering programming, maintaining infrastructure, and paying for licensing and distribution rights. Additionally, television fees also support the employment of thousands of people in the television industry, including actors, writers, producers, and technical staff. Overall, paying television fees allows for the continued production and delivery of high-quality programming to viewers. **
